Cheesy Cow

So, there is a new place in Bettendorf called the Cheesy Cow Mac & Cheesery.  It is located near Interstate 80 just off the Middle Road exit next to the TBK Bank Sports Complex.  Josie and I decided to check it out after we went to Greatest Grains in Davenport.  Greatest Grains is a natural products store. She had never been there so that is where the adventure began as we got some things that you can’t locate at the average grocery store.  I hadn’t been there in a while either, so it was nice to look around.
When we got to the Cheesy Cow Mac & Cheesery it was after 6 and there was a line.  We decided to stay and give it a try.  It took about 30 minutes to get to the counter to place our order.  Once you place your order, they give you a number to put on your table. It then only took 15 more minutes to receive our meal so that isn't bad compared to other places. While waiting Josie went over the Coffee Hound to get a drink.  The Coffee Hound is one of the first drive-thru coffee shops in the Quad Cities. Both places are owned by the same people.
The Cheesy Cow Mac & Cheesery has a variety of mac and cheeses, melts, salads and soups.  When we were there several of the melts were crossed off the menu and I am not sure if they were out or what.  We both were going to have mac and cheese.  Josie ordered the Veggie Mac which had voodles, onion, mushrooms, and peppers. I decided to go on an adventure and try the southwest mac which had some kick to it thanks to the chorizo, salsa, and chipotle aioli sauce.  They have two sizes to choose from the calf or the cow.  We both went with the calf and it was filling and probably should have taken half of it home.  The meal comes in a round metal tin and they have lids available if you choose to take it home.  They also serve it with what they call signature crispies.  Both meals were delicious.

It was a fun evening and we both got to try something new.  I would go back again and hope that the wait would be about ½ the time.  I would think with the sports complex so close they will be busy most of the time.  If you want to check the menu out the website is https://www.eatcheesycow.com/
